چکیده
In this paper, the gravitational wave generation by a slowly rotating thin-shell wormhole is considered. Since assumed to be an axisymmetric rigid body, rotation axis coincides with largest principal which means there no precession motion. However, if perturbation in angular velocity, can move make arise waves. We derive spectrum, energy loss rate, and momentum rate.

Electromagnetic field around a slowly rotating wormhole
We have considered the possibility of a slowly rotating wormhole surrounded by a cloud of charged particles. Due to slow rotation of the wormhole, the charged particles are dragged thereby producing an electromagnetic field. We have determined the strength of this electromagnetic field and the corresponding flux of radiation.
متن کاملGravitational instability of slowly rotating isothermal spheres
We discuss the statistical mechanics of rotating self-gravitating systems by allowing properly for the conservation of angular momentum. We study analytically the case of slowly rotating isothermal spheres by expanding the solutions of the Boltzmann-Poisson equation in a series of Legendre polynomials, adapting the procedure introduced by Chandrasekhar (1933) for distorted polytropes. We show h...
متن کاملGeneral Relativistic Rossby-Haurwitz waves of a slowly and differentially rotating fluid shell
We show that, at first order in the angular velocity, the general relativistic description of Rossby-Haurwitz waves (the analogues of r waves on a thin shell) can be obtained from the corresponding Newtonian one after a coordinate transformation. As an application, we show that the results recently obtained by Rezzolla and Yoshida (2001) in the analysis of Newtonian Rossby-Haurwitz waves of a s...
متن کاملRossby-Haurwitz waves of a slowly and differentially rotating fluid shell
Recent studies have raised doubts about the occurrence of r modes in Newtonian stars with a large degree of differential rotation. To assess the validity of this conjecture we have solved the eigenvalue problem for Rossby-Haurwitz waves (the analogues of r waves on a thin-shell) in the presence of differential rotation. The results obtained indicate that the eigenvalue problem is never singular...
متن کاملSurface stresses on a thin shell surrounding a traversable wormhole
We match an interior solution of a spherically symmetric traversable wormhole to a unique exterior vacuum solution, with a generic cosmological constant, at a junction interface, and the surface stresses on the thin shell are deduced. In the spirit of minimizing the usage of exotic matter we determine regions in which the weak and null energy conditions are satisfied on the junction surface. Th...
